"We came in from Toronto trail riding last Sunday, and boy was it great to get away from the city into the peace and quiet. Your horses were great and we will definitely be back to go horseback riding again!" "We took part in your sunset ride a few weeks ago. Just wanted to tell you that we ENJOYED it THOROUGHLY! The horses, the scenery, the guide and the loft (of course) were spectacular!" "We went there last Saturday for the Half-day ride, (probably you remember us), and I'm just sending this e-mail to congratulate you for the excellent service that you provided to us, it was amazing, beautiful, we don't have words to describe how good it was, the landscaping is gorgeous, all the birds we saw, the butterflies, it was so relaxing, so peaceful, once again, beautiful." "I wanted to tell you that I think your horses are very well-behaved, and we were both duly impressed with their surefootedness." "We had Ana's birthday party there on Saturday, and what a blast the kids had! It's probably the easiest birthday party I've ever done - never once had to say "don't touch" or "be careful". They were free to just be kids! Both the facility and the activities provided are so kid-friendly! I wanted to say thank-you to the ladies that handled the horse-back riding. They were wonderful with the kids! I listened to them replay the whole experience all the way home, trying to decide which part was best. It was music to my ears. No fighting, no pouting all day - just laughter and smiles." "I would just like to thank you for such a wonderful birthday party. All the kids had a terrific time and my daughter was just in seventh heaven. She said it was the best birthday party ever and she's asked if she can have next year's there too. The cake was great and the kids had a blast in the lofts. The parents all thought it was wonderful too. Hopefully we'll see more parties there. "

TRAIL RIDING QUESTIONSDo you have a weight limit for horseback riding?Yes, our weight limit is 250 lbs. As well, riders should be able to fit into the saddle and be able to hold the horn in front of the saddle. Occasionally, we must turn away riders because their shape does not allow them to fit in the saddle safely. Can we gallop on the trail?Galloping on the trail is possible by booking one of our advanced rides. Can my child ride in front of me on the horse. For safety reasons double riding is not permitted. Children that are 6 and 7 years old are led on their own horse by one of our guides. Please note, 1 guide is available for 6 riders. If you are bringing more than one young child additional fees will apply and should be booked in advance. Can my child that is less than six years old go on a trail ride? No, children must be over six years old for their safety. The ride is too long for younger children and believe it or not we sometimes have to work at keeping six and seven year olds awake as the rocking motion puts them to sleep. My dog likes to be out on the farm, can I bring him too?No, dogs, kids and horses do not mix. Bringing a strange dog to a different environment is unfair to the dog and could scare both children and horses. We have many visitors here who love horses but are terrified of dogs. We have a large group coming, is there enough room to park?Yes, we have room for lots of cars and buses too. Do you supply helmets?Yes, ASTM approved horseback riding helmets are available for all riders and mandatory for riders under 18 years old. Covered safety stirrups are also provided on all saddles. Helmets are individually sanitized after each use. Do you ride in the rain and snow?Yes, we are open year round for trail riding. If there is thunder and lightning, rides are delayed until the storm passes for safety reasons. As well, if the trail conditions are icy we must close until the trails are safe which is usually just a couple of days. What if I book a ride and it pours rain? You have the option of re-scheduling your ride up until 9 am the day of the ride. HorsePlay Niagara will allow cancellation if it is raining when the ride begins, however, we do not cancel rides due to weather forecasts with the exception of severe weather warnings. Once the ride has begun, there are no refunds. Do you accept special needs riders?HorsePlay Niagara reserves the right to limit ride availability for special needs riders including multiple riders aged 6 & 7 years old. For trail riding, riders need to be able to follow instructions and be physically capable of mounting and being on a horse for one hour. We make every effort to accommodate your group or individual however extra charges may apply to provide a safe environment for persons with special needs. Please contact the office to make arrangements in advance. What payment method do you accept? We accept Visa, Mastercard, cash and have an ATM machine available. How far are you from Toronto for trail riding? Our trail rides are 90 minutes from Toronto. How far are your trail rides from Hamilton? Our horseback riding is 60 minutes from Hamilton. How far are the horse rides from Buffalo? The horseback riding is 30 minutes from Buffalo.
